Huh?
Overheard on TV, a promo for a travel show: "Up next, the world's ten-best Mexican beaches!"
Okay, with Dianne's rephrasing, I see what you were commenting on. BUT... her REphrasing is NOT the original phrasing. Of course the 10 best Mexican beaches would have to be in Mexico so D's phrasing would pose a silly statement. But a list of the world's 10 best Mexican is perfectly plausible as would be a follow-up of theworld's 10 best Japanese beaches, and the world's 10 best European beaches,and world's best Kansas beaches.
Sometimes we put together words and they DO make a sentence, technically. But a thought?
